2025 Trends International Design NZ Bathroom Award - Highly Commended
Completed in 2025, this bathroom was designed as a place of retreat. A thoughtfully layered sanctuary where every detail has been considered to enhance the daily ritual.
Within its compact footprint, natural materials, warm walnut tones and softly aged brass finishes create a sense of calm and permanence. Murales Ice tiles, a curved vanity and gently arched forms introduce softness, while integrated lighting and carefully considered functionality ensure the space feels effortless to inhabit.
A bronze spiral sculpture by Virginia King provides a moment of artistry above the bath, while a subtle collaboration with artist Kurt Ensor adds an unexpected touch of humour, reminding us that beautiful homes should also reflect the personalities of those who live within them.
The result is a bathroom that feels both timeless and deeply personal: a sanctuary designed not only to be admired, but to be lived in.
